SHIPPING & RETURNS POLICY

1. Legal Compliance & Eligibility


By placing an order with Vineas Mundi Imports, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you represent that you are at least 21 years of age and legally permitted to purchase and receive alcoholic beverages.


All sales and shipments comply with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order that may violate such laws.


2. Shipping Availability


We currently offer:


Local delivery within Southern California, and

Direct-to-consumer shipping to California and select U.S. states where permitted by law


All direct-to-consumer shipments are fulfilled through properly licensed third-party fulfillment partners authorized to ship alcoholic beverages. We do not ship to states where direct shipment of wine is prohibited.


3. Order Processing & Shipping Schedule

Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days.

Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday only to minimize the risk of temperature exposure and weekend transit delays.

Orders placed after the weekly shipping cutoff may be held until the following shipping window.

4. Weather & Temperature Protection


Wine is sensitive to extreme temperatures. To protect quality:


All shipments use temperature-controlled packaging, including insulation and cold packs when appropriate.

We may delay shipment during periods of extreme heat or cold at our discretion.


By placing an order, you acknowledge that:


Weather-related delays may occur, and

We are not responsible for damage caused by extreme temperatures once delivery has been completed.

5. Delivery Requirements – Adult Signature Required


All deliveries require:


Adult Signature (21+) upon delivery

A valid government-issued ID


Carriers (UPS, FedEx) and local couriers will not leave packages unattended under any circumstances.


6. Failed Delivery Attempts

Carrier Shipments (UPS/FedEx)

Up to three (3) delivery attempts will be made.

If delivery is unsuccessful, the shipment may be returned or held per carrier policy.

Customers are responsible for return shipping fees and any reshipping charges.

Local Delivery (Southern California)

Deliveries are made via scheduled delivery windows.

An adult (21+) with valid ID must be present.

If delivery fails:

A reattempt will be scheduled (additional fee applies).

After three (3) failed delivery attempts, the order may be canceled.

Refunds, if any, will be issued as store credit minus delivery and handling fees.

7. Returns & Refunds Policy


Due to the nature of alcoholic beverages, all sales are final except for:


Damaged items

Defective (corked/spoiled) wine

Incorrect items shipped


Returns are not accepted for:


Personal taste preferences

Orders delayed due to weather holds

Failed delivery due to recipient unavailability

Improper storage after delivery

8. Reporting Issues


All claims must be reported within 2–3 days of delivery.


To submit a claim:


Provide photographic evidence of damage

Retain the original packaging and contents for inspection if required


Claims that do not meet these requirements may be denied.


9. Resolution of Approved Claims


Approved claims will be resolved by:


Replacement of the product, or

Issuance of store credit


We do not guarantee cash refunds.


10. Limitation of Liability


To the fullest extent permitted by law:


We are not liable for delays caused by weather, carrier issues, or regulatory restrictions.

We are not responsible for damage occurring after delivery is completed, including temperature exposure due to delayed receipt.

Title and risk of loss pass to the customer upon delivery.

11. Direct-to-Consumer Compliance & Fulfillment Partner Disclaimer

All direct-to-consumer shipments are fulfilled through licensed third-party partners.

Orders are shipped only to states where such shipments are legally permitted.

Customers agree to comply with all applicable state and local laws regarding alcohol receipt and consumption.
